It was an absolute pleasure to attend the 5th Annual Pub Night on behalf of the UofA Conservative Association! I had the opportunity to meet with a very active and enthusiastic group of Conservatives that inspire me. I have had great ties with the UofA group as I have been a part of a lot of programs with them, including the Rally for Canada. I met with Rahim Jaffer, who is such a great person and carries a great spirit; it was pleasure to talk to him. MP Mike Lake, one of the hardest working MPs in Ottawa was also there along with Tim Uppal who is a great Conservative MP and strong leader for Edmonton-Sherwood Park.
The room was packed with over thirty enthusiastic and energetic members of the University of Alberta Conservative Association and all their guests. I am proud to observe the torch being carried by this generation into the future.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Peter Milliken, the Parliamentary speaker, who was very lively and discussed some great topics with myself. Meeting with Mr. Milliken’s staff it was interesting to see how the house speaker is attending Legislatures around Canada to take notice of how democracy works across Canada. Peter Milliken is doing a great job.
